In Memory of Ed Ramirez

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our colleague and dear friend, Ed Ramirez. Ed was the chemical dependency educator here at Roundtable Counseling, and was one of the founding members of our business. In 2005, he was the very first employee of Teen Scene Outpatient, a substance abuse program for adolescents. He has since been an integral part of our growth and eventual evolution into Roundtable Counseling, Inc. His kindness and wisdom have changed the lives of both his co-workers and the many clients he served in his time here.

A service in honor of his memory will be held on Sunday, February 26th at 1pm at the Holiday Inn Express in the Ventura Harbor, and all are invited to attend and share their memories of Ed. His obituary will be featured in the Ventura County Star from Friday, Feb. 23-Sunday Feb. 26th. For information on how you can provide support to his family at this time, please e-mail us at staff@rtcounseling.com.

We would like to make ourselves available to support any of our current or former clients who may be struggling with this loss. If you would like to talk to someone here, please call us right away.

One of Ed's favorite sayings was: "It's a process." That has become even more true as we struggle to navigate life without our dear friend. We are deeply grateful for your continued support during this difficult time, and hope to honor his memory by moving forward strengthened by his wisdom and optimism.

Roundtable Counseling has been forever changed by the presence of Ed Ramirez, and we are grateful to have had him with us for the past 12 years. We would love to hear your stories about Ed, and hope that you will keep in touch with us as we weather this storm together.
